RINA is accredited by the UNFCCC, as Designated Operational Entity (DOE), to carry out Validation of CDM Projects in sectors 1 (Energy industries), 2 (Energy distribution), 3 (Energy Demand) and 13 (Waste handling and disposal) and is undergoing accreditation in sectors 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 14, 15 to undertake both Validation and Verification of CDM projects. RINA can act as certification partner able to validate/verify CDM projects, assist in the process of proposing new methodologies to the UNFCCC, including Afforestation/Reforestation projects. |
